Here are some of the things you can do with Personos
1.Peoplemark-- Bookmark media and associate it to people
- In another browser window, find a page that references you or another person already in the Personos directory.
- If you've downloaded the "peoplemark" browser button, click on it. This will bring up a dialog showing the url and title of the chosen article. It will also show people whose names appear both in the article and the Personos directory.
- Use the dialog to add additional group/topic or person tags to the article.
- Click on submit to post the article.
- Note that you can also add an article by dragging the url of the article into the drop zone found on a person's profile page.
2.Add a new person profile.
- Select Contribute | Person from the menu
- Enter the name of the person.
- In another browser window, search for a homepage and image for the person. If you find one, drag the url of the page into the appropriate field in the new person dialog.
- Click submit.
3.Add associations to a person.
- After creating a profile, you can edit it by clicking on the little icon near the person's name on their profile. The edit dialog also allows you to add a blog and social network profile informatin for the person.
- Add a person to a group by clicking the + in the Groups section on the person's profile page. A group palette will appear. To add the person to the group, drag the group into the person's group section.
- You can also make a 1-1 association between people. Click the + under the associations area. A people palette will appear. To add an association, drag a person from the palette to the association's area.
4.Add a group
- select Contribute | Group from the menu
- Enter the name of the group. If appropriate, enter a homepage for the group (e.g., the group is an organization).
- Click submit.
5. Add members to your group
- If you are not on the group page for your group, select Groups from the menu and select a group
- Click the + in the member section of the group. A people palette will appear.
- Click on a person in the palette and drop in the group member area.
